Marsa Al Bateen Marina is in Abu Dhabi, on the west side of the town. The port is located across from the coast. The new section is made up of a stylish yacht harbor, a beach by the sea, and many restaurants. Those who are familiar with the area can meet their friends at the place as of today.
There is a corner for small boats. Luxury buildings and cheap rooms alternate in the soft green light of the solar energy at night. The bright hustle and bustle of the yachts is visible in a large number of skies. The actions of smaller boats call for a no-passenger policy while tourists are around. These peaceful islands keep each other company.
Marina & Waterfront
The marina has 372 wet berths, 324 in the West Marina and 48 in the East. By the way, there is a dry stock with a number of 138 small boats (up to 9 meters long). The Marina was the first in the region to offer dry stack to the customers. There are two marinas called Bloom Marina and Marasy nearby.
These places are harbors for boats of all compositions, from small sailboats to yachts with lengths that could be twice the length of 30 meters.
The port is an exquisite homage to the Abu Dhabi fishing and sailing heydays. You can still see local wooden dhows at harbors. Fish markets are set up in between, and there are some small plazas that you can find at the edge of the water. Palm trees, which are growing in the shaded paths, make it easier for people to transit from the streets to the beach.
Aldar Marinas and ART Marine operate the marinas. They provide ice and fuel, as well as 24 hour emergency assistance, at the docks. Marsa Al Bateen Marina is on the Musaffah channel.
Dining & Marsa al Bateen Marina Restaurants
The waterfront dining options are the main source of attraction for me at Marsa Al Bateen. There are a lot of places where you can sit by the deck and eat while admiring ships and the sea.
Popular Restaurants:
- Tasha’s – The cafe offers you various options to choose from for your big breakfast. Along with the visually attractive foods, the cafe’s breakfasts are also great to taste.
- Brunch & Cake – A famous outfit that makes sweet dishes for breakfast, such as cakes and pastries. The restaurant’s impression was first set up in this restaurant.
- ZOE Modern Greek – Offers traditional Greek delicacies such as baked meat and fish served with lettuce, tomato, onion, and delicious dressing alongside the luxury of the sea.
- Napo Pizzeria – This small restaurant focuses only on Italian cuisine. They have some unique traditional pizzas cooked in wood ovens and also pasta dishes, a step higher than the average.
- Bu Tafish – This is a small, local place known for its grilled fish and seafood.
- Art House Cafe – They serve food from various countries, which is quite interesting and makes the meal more delightful.
- Montauk Cafe – Most of the travelers are aware of the fact that the cafe has American-style breakfast. This is correct because the menu only offers these types of items.
- R Express Cafe – Get your coffee at the window even when you are in a hurry.
What Makes It Special:
All the restaurants here provide outdoor seating to their customers, where they can enjoy the sight of boats. Drifting back and forth out at sea, people often consider it a seaside resort.
This is a particular embodiment that looks so lush and colorful with those two different hues. Watching those ships town will be the thrill when you sip your coffee or have your dinner there.
Cafés & Community Vibe
Everybody here just loves their coffee. There were many coffee shops, many owned by global chains, as well as smaller local shops. You can take walks on Al Bateen Street back at the marina, and you can see places like Coffee Planet and Joud Café. The treats they have are coffee and sweet pastries.
Welcome to Bloom Plaza, on some weekends there is a small market where people sell fresh food. There are playgrounds for kids to play around in. Families can set up camp beside the water and have some nice meals. Every day I go out, I witness joggers, families, and groups of friends all enjoying their free time in the palm trees area.
All of the flowers bloom in bright colors by the sea. Couples and families, along with everyone else who wants a walk near the boats, are some of the places to go. Walkways and parks all belong to the public – even if you don’t have a boat, you can still enjoy them.
Al Bateen Beach & Recreation
Any locality covering the eastern side of the marina is Al Bateen Beach. It is a long stretch of sand about 800 meters. Abu Dhabi has recognised it with a Blue Flag Award for its environmental sustainability. The beach is free to access for persons of all ages. The seawater is smooth and clear enough – just good for diving, fishing, and paddleboards, too.
The beach has two sections, one of which is protected from the sun by a wall and the other has a small shop where kayaks and paddleboards are available to rent. Hanging out at the beach, you can enjoy a view of the island and the city at once.
During the summer, the breeze is very pleasant, which benefits not only the beach activities but also the kite flying and late evening strolls. In the evenings, the lights that hang make the view look so great. The people are crazy about the blue water, the palm trees, and how the boat lights on the water beam back at them.
Apartments & Living
Marsa Al Bateen is getting better as the new houses are coming up. The district is relatively peaceful and at the same time quite open. Many people want to live here.
The complex of Bloom Marina is the biggest in the whole of the district. It has two big tall buildings on the water. The apartments are in all sizes, starting from 225 and up. There is also a five-star hotel which has 57 serviced suites.
The living conditions vary from one bedroom to four bedrooms. Most of these homes have a balcony or a terrace facing the marina. The interior is super modern with an Arab twist. Of course, each tower has a green rating of 2-Pearl.
Residential facilities at the site, such as pools, gyms, running tracks, and local supermarket services are just some of the amenities residents of this resort can count on.
They want their sea view homes to come at a higher price. In AED 120,000 per year, a two-bedroom could be the price tag of those apartments. They are considering the option of short-term lets too.
Only a few hotels exist in this area. The principal one is the Abu Dhabi Edition, which lies at the corner of Al Bateen. It owns a popular restaurant called Alba. The tourists can have their accommodation, which is quite close, or travel a distance from the city proper, which can last from 10-15minutes.
Getting Around
In Marsa al Bateen, you can easily get your car or taxi to the place, where free parking is located at the marina and Al Bateen Beach, The buses also go to Al Bateen. Getting to cafes and parks is a piece of cake and takes less than ten minutes.
Because of the slowly buckling terrain in some places, the stroller or the wheelchair can be transported around the facility with the same comfortability of the walking pedestrians. Some of the parts of the zoo are open to all the visitors.
Weekdays are usually quiet in Marsa but parking can get really crowded on the weekends. It is pleasurable to go out for a meal and enjoy an evening walk on the beach during the summer or the fall months.
Luggage Tip: Be warned; Don’t forget your sunscreen and hats as there are not enough shady spots. Since it gets darker at that time mosquito activity increases, so a reason to be prepared to walk with you is bug spray.
Conclusion
Walking around Marsha Al Bateen or staying there will be so quiet and light. Likewise, the marina at Al Bateen has many restaurants, beaches, and parks where people can have their dose of regular fun. Sunsets and children playing with kites are such a common sight that many people take photos of them.
The experience of coming and making a visit, sail, or any other interesting activity are the main things that suggest one goes to the beach for a respite.
