Construction began in 2007, and the park was ready for its visitors in early 2008. It was one of the first four reframed parks out of 70 housing and public places greening project in Dubai.
Park Parts
- Pond Area: There is a spacious pond in the center along with various colored fountains. The 2 km path for jogging is placed around the lake. A small limited area is provided to the children because around the pond there is a safety fence and children are not permitted to cross it. Managing the site and making other recreational activities comfortable and safe for the kids is the primary objective of the park.
- Children’s Zone: The grass fields and playgrounds here are of brilliant quality. The area is set up with different playgrounds for different ages: one for ages 2-5 and the other one for ages 6-12 with devices like slides and swings. There is also a 1.4 km track for running races. With a mini golf course next to it, a view to the same sunlit greenery is enhanced. The place also consists of a mini-event hall/rental space, bathrooms, and a dressing room and a small office.
- Sports Area: There are boundary lines for adults and school students. You can play soccer, tennis, basketball, volleyball, and many kinds of sports on both grass and sand courts.
They used the pond as a bus depot to run also cafes and boat rides, but now only a tiny café is operating there. They do keep it up. Within the time frame allocated by the Dubai Municipality, people will be allowed to use the jogging track at 5 am.

This park, where grass, tall trees, and flowers are found, is a large green park. The palm trees make tissues of light green while the bushes look similar but have flowers. Besides of its great ecosystem, the park is divided into various zones: water bodies, paths made of grass, and fountains.
