Dubai Weekly Team

When it comes to travel with comfort, the well-known Dubai Airlines, Emirates is the first priority of most travellers. More than 3600 flights take off weekly from Dubai through this airline. With 80 countries on its destination list, Emirates has recently launched its new Airbus A350-9. This proves that Dubai isn’t coming slow in any ground (and air). There are 64 more aircraft on the way and it’s designed to take one step further regarding connectivity and sustainability. The airline will introduce the A350 for both regional and international routes.

The design of this Airbus was introduced in 2004 but is now going to launch in 2025 and the first flight will be in January to Edinburgh. Then it will expand further to other destinations like Muscat, Mumbai Colombo, and Lyon in February and March.

What are the Unique Key Features of the Emirates A350?

You must be thinking why this Airbus is better and upgraded than normal flights. Well, it has a cabin layout and will be offered in all three classes.

  • The business class will have 32 seats. There will be flat beds for a comfortable journey, leather upholstery, and luxury inspired by the Mercedes S-Class.
  • Then there will be premium economy class. In Premium Economy class there will be 21 comfortable seats. This is only three rows.
  • Most premium economy classes have seating arrangements as 2-4-2. However, this has 2-3-2 seatings that contribute to its narrower structure. They have reclining chairs and luxury interiors.
  • In normal economy class, there will be 258 seats. These seats will have more legroom to rest your legs, a comfortable design, and adjustable headrests.
  • The individual air outlet is right in front of you instead of at the usual top.
  • You can charge your phones here too without worrying about what type your charger is.
  • The seats have dividers for privacy.
  • Every seat has a screen that uses 4k technology and offers more than 6500 movies in more than 40 languages.
  • The whole vibe is just pure luxury.
  • The advanced technology in the flight is simply set to make your flight experience memorable. There are upgraded touchscreens and a smooth WI-FI connection to keep you entertained and busy.
  • Moreover, this flight is 25% more fuel-efficient than similar other flights. This is another step in achieving the sustainable Dubai goal.  The carbon emission of this flight is a lot less making it a more eco-friendly option.

What will be the Impact on Passengers and Routes?

Well, we all know how busy Dubai airport is. This A 350 is a good addition to the Dubai airline. Usually,  Emirates aircraft are larger and land only in the biggest airports but this aircraft can land in mid-sized airports too. This upgrades the flight experience both in terms of range and accommodation.

At first, this flight will serve in cities across Europe, the Middle East, and South Asia. Later on, it will expand its operations and explore new routes in 2025. This opens up new doors for passengers.

Is It for Everyone?

Yes. Anyone who wants to travel comfortably can access the flight. However, the flight is suitable for:

  • Business travellers who want luxurious and comfortable experiences.  As there will be high-end private suites for them, we guess there is no need for private jets anymore.
  • People who want to travel in luxury but are not businessmen. They can have a premium economy class to experience luxury at affordable rates.
  • If you are a normal passenger but want an upgraded travel experience,  Economy seats are for you.
  • Anyone who travels by air can have a new and upgraded flight experience with Emirates.

Ticket Pricing and Impact on the Economy

Emirates has not yet disclosed the prices for their A350 airbus but it is expected that they will have competitive rates.

Dubai plans to double its economy by 2033. This aeroplane is a part of a larger canvas. It will definitely boost the economy and give leverage to Dubai in terms of leisure travel. This project will also boost Dubai tourism and promote Dubai’s “green city” cause.

Does Emirates Fly the A350 Now?

Yes. The A350-900 bus has been added to its fleet. The airline received its first Airbus in 2024. The commercial flights will launch in January 2025.

Difference Between Emirates A350 and A380 Airbuses?

Well, Emirates is launching the A350. You might want to know how it is different from A380.

  • The A350 is smaller than the A380. That’s why it will increase the reach to mid-sized airports too.
  • The A350 airbus has only 312 seats in all three-class whereas, A380 can accommodate 800 passengers in economy setup and 615 in Premium layout.
  • A380 is one of the largest airbus in the world whereas, A350 is especially designed for mid-sized airports.
  • The A350 is going to be a great addition to sustainable aircraft as it produces 25% less fuel in comparison.
  • In terms of technology,  the A350 will have advanced inflight connectivity, 4K entertainment screens, and a peaceful cabin environment.

How Many Seats Are in Business Class on the A350?

There will be 32 Business class seats. They are more like a personal suite where passengers will be able to have full lie-flat beds, personal charging stations, 4K entertainment systems, and proper lighting.

Which Business Class Seat Is Best on Emirates A350?

  • Window seat of course. The shades on the window are very elegantly designed. You can have all your privacy and a nice sky view.
  • Well, the whole seating is designed to serve the needs of different passengers. Seats that are closer to the cabin are more quiet in terms of surroundings. They also have access to quick service.
  • If you are travelling with a companion, centre seats might be a good option for you. There are privacy partitions that you can lower down.

Conclusion :

Emirates is launching another Airbus which will be shorter in terms of size and higher in technology.  Many say that Emirates has already excelled in business and that Airbus is a continuum to that experience. With its short size and more fuel-efficient technology,  it will take Dubai Airlines to another level. People who want to travel with peace in a comfortable environment will be able to book flights from January 2025.
